Slice® blades are manufactured safer than any other traditional blades. Composed of zirconium oxide, or ceramic, these blades stay sharper longer than traditional steel. Metal blades are soft, and dull easily, so they are produced with extreme sharpness to give a productive life span. However, the user is more prone to cut themselves, trading safety for productivity. Ceramic blades are harder, resulting in an edge that, while less sharp, will not dull as fast. The final product is a blade that's easy to handle, gets the job done and reduces workplace accidents. 

Ceramic blades are also non-magnetic, non-reactive, non-porous and chemically resistant, oil and lubricant free, and never rust.
